How it works
Solar Panel electricity systems, also known as Solar Photovoltaics (PV), capture the sun’s energy using photovoltaic cells.
These cells do not need direct sunlight to work, they can still generate electricity on a cloudy day. The cells convert the daylight into electricity via an inverter (usually situated in the loft), which can be used to run household appliances and lighting.
Any excess electricity the house does not use is exported to the national grid automatically.

LOW MAINTENANCE COSTS
Solar energy systems generally do not require a lot of maintenance. You only need to keep them relatively clean, so cleaning them once every couple of years will be sufficient. If your panels are difficult to access, you can always rely on specialized cleaning companies. Most reliable Solar Panel manufacturers offer a 25 year. Performance guaranteed at 80% in year 25! Also, as there are no moving parts on the panels themselves, there is no wear and tear.
The Feed-in-Tariff has ended but for many people considering installing solar panels the main motivation is to reduce their ever-increasing electricity bill and protect themselves from the unpredictable cost and reliability of electricity in the future. The Government will be replacing the previous payment scheme with a new Export Tariff. You can find out more here
reduce your electricity bills
With a Wise Green Energy Solar PV system, you will be able to reduce electricity bills by up to 50%. The system will supply some, or on occasions, all of your power, especially when coupled with our Wise Battery Storage technology!

reduce your carbon footprint
Solar panels can reduce your household carbon footprint as well as your fuel bills. Every unit of electricity we use from the National Grid emits around 0.5kg of CO2 into the atmosphere.
free energy performance certificate (epc)
Every Wise Green Energy order now includes a free EPC (if required)
